Saudi Arabia has fallen for Iran's trap

The world is currently witnessing a last-ditch war of the United States of America together with Israel, against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

For 47 years since the Iranians ousted an American backed leader that is : Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the Americans and Israelis have been itching to attack Iran someday and either destroy it or take the endowed country back into their hegemonic control.

Since the inception of the Islamic regime, Iran has faced global isolation and sanctions at the hand of Americans and their allies.

Furthermore, the country has faced  regular attacks on its interests in the region by the Israelis. All this, with a purpose of laying the foundation of a major and final blow to the Islamic Republic.

The dream finally came true for the U.S and Israel when on the 28th of February 2026, the two countries launched a joint brutal military operation against Iran.

This, they named, "Operation Epic Fury."

The Americans and Israelis assumed that this operation would be the last and final blow to the Islamic Republic.

Given Iran's shattered economy as a result of constant sanctions, domestic conflicts as a result of poor governance and regular assassinations of its top commanders, the agressors assumed that their military operation would be just a simple knock of the last nail into the coffin for the Islamic Republic.

They assumed that bringing down the Islamic Republic of Iran would be a walk over.

To the Americans and Israelis however, the Iranians have proved to be a very formidable and very strategic enemy.

Ulike their past military endeavours in the Middle East region, the Iranians' response to aggression has got the Americans having to get involved in a longer war than they had planned for.

Apparently, the Americans did not intend to run their operation for longer than two weeks! But here we are, six months into the war with no American victory anywhere in sight.

Moreso, the Americans and Israelis seem to be completely beaten on strategy.

Using their asymetric war fare strategy, the Iranians are prepared to make the whole region feel the painful consequences of the latest U.S- Israeli aggression in the region.

Iran has fiercely faught back, blow for blow, ounce for ounce and pound for pound with the aggressors.

During the first phase of the war(that lasted 40 days), Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps(IRGC), along with their armed proxies in the region embraked on hitting U.S bases across the Middle East, and when the U.S and Israel devised their usual brutal strategy of destroying civilain infrastructure, the Iranians hit the same infrastructure across the U.S allied Gulf region and Israel.

Under its eye for eye retaliation policy, Iran targeted oil facility for each of its own facility targeted by the aggressors, Petro chemical facility for Petro chemical facility, until the U.S realised that while it was using a finger to destroy Iran, Iran was using four fingers to destroy U.S interests in the region too.

It is not a secret that Gulf states' economic infrastructure constitute a big part of the United States' global economic empire. Hitting and detroying them is a direct blow to U.S' economic standing in the world.

As for Israel, the so called "God-chosen" country is the most useful idiot for the United States in the Middle East region.

Realising that Iran has the ability to inflict similar pain to U.S allies as is being inflicted upon it, the U.S sought for a ceasfire after forty days of exchanging fire with Iran.

However, it later turned out that the U.S did not seek for a ceasfire because it wanted to back out of the war.

It seemed, that the U.S intended to use the ceasefire to re strategise the war.

No wonder, just over a month into the ceasefire, the U.S relaunched a war on Iran under the guise of freeing the strait of Hormus from the Iranians.

This time however, the U.S deliberately did not declare a full scale war on Iran.

Moreso, from the face of it, Israel is not invloved in the latest assaults on the Islamic Republic.

Therefore, in its retaliatory attacks, Iran had no justification of targeting civilain infrastructure in Gulf states.

Furthermore, Iran had no justification of targeting Israel, which apparently, ran short of interceptors missiles during the forty day round of war.

This gave the U.S the freedom of devising its destruction policy in Iran without having to face the outcries of its Arab allies over the destruction of their economic infrastructure too.

In its latest round of aggression on Iran, the U.S has targeted Iran's civilian infrastructure from Telecom infrastructure, to bridges to raliway lines, while effectively shielding its allies from Iran's missile and drone attacks on their civilian infrastructure.

Earlier in the war, Iran had threatened to target Gulf nations' civilian infrastructure if its own civilian infrastructure was tageted.

However, by hiding Israel behind its back and refusing to declare a full scale war on Iran again, the U.S cunningly refused to give Iranians a reason to fire back at U.S allies' economic infrastructure.

Moreso, the U.S sought to keep the flames of war under its control by trying to avoid escalating the war into a regional one.

So, here the Iranians were! Painfully watching their country being destroyed while having their hands tied against sharing the pain of destruction with other members in the region.

But we all know that the Iranians chose not die alone this time round. They don't want to die alone! If they can't win the war, they would rather spread fire across the region and make the war very costly and uncontrollable for the U.S.

The Iranians had to think fast. They quickly had to find a way of maneuvering around the latest U.S strategy of pretending that there is not a full scale war going on with their country, while systematically dismantling their economic infrastructure every night.

If not both, one of the most important U.S allies in the region had to be dragged in this war too. That is: Israel or Saudi Arabia.

The Iranians know that each of the above countries makes a leg for the U.S hegemonic standing in the Middle East.

If you destroy Israel, you have destroyed the United States' left leg and if you destroy Saudi Arabia, the U.S loses a right leg. If you destroy both, it is the end if U.S hegemony in the Middle East.

Therefore, Iran had to find ways of injuring one of the U.S legs in the region.

As for Israel, the truth is that no one wants to pen war with those wild cats. They are so rowdy and ruthless, they always think of hitting schools and hospitals first.

Therefore, Saudi Arabia became the only meal left on the menu.

The Iranians pressed their Houthi button.

It all started with the Houthi suddenly demanding an immediate end to the Saudi imposed blockade on their territory.

Since 2017, the Houthi who control the Northern parts of Yemen including the capital Sana'a, have endured an air and sea blockade imposed on their terrirory by Saudi Arabia after they targeted Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles.

In show of support to the Houthis' in their quest to have the blockade on their territory lifted, the Iranians sent an aircraft to Yemen on July 13, 2026 reportedly returning Houthi officials  who had attended the burial of late Supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

The Saudi backed government of Yemen which controls the southern parts of the country bombed the runway of Sanaa international airport to block the plane from landing.

However, the plane managed to land in Yemen anyway, when it changed course and landed on Houthi controlled Hodeidah port.

In retaliation, the Houthi targeted Abha international airport in Saudi Arabia, and subsequently declared a  maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia on July 20, 2026.

The Houthi declared that they would not allow any Saudi related ship to pass through the Babel Mandeb, another shipping choke point in the Red sea.

In no time, the Houthi started attacking all Saudi related ships that attempted to cross the Babel Mandeb with drones and missiles.

Slowly falling into Iran's trap, Saudi Arabia could not of course tolerate Houthi attacks on their ships. This propmpted the Saudis to launch attacks on Houthi controlled Hudaidah port.

In retaliation to these attacks, the Houthi fighters successfully hit and destroyed Saudi Arabia's ARAMCO oil refinery destroying a 400,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Jizan, located on the Red Sea coast.

With the strait of Hormus largely closed and the Babel Mandeb also on the verge of being completely disrupted, The Trump administration is headed for the most challenging time in American war history.

Due to the Houthi's effective blockade on Saudi Arabia in the Babel Mandeb, Saudi Arabia has been forced to use the longer route from its Yanbu port  the Suez canal for its oil and cargo ships.

This of course has a direct negative impact on global oil supplies and subsequently, more inflation of the already high oil prices caused by the disruption of major shipping waterways in the Gulf region.

Saudi Arabia being the largest exporter of oil and gas in the Middle East region with its oil industry now under real threat by Iran backed militias, the Iranians seem to be slowly getting the oil war back in their control.

While the Americans arrogantly imposed a blocakde on Iran's ports, they have been feasting on the Gulf states for smooth flow of oil supplies to the world.

It seems now that the Iranians intend to target Saudi Arabia's economic infrastructure and hit a heavy blow on the U.S. and its wealthiest collaborator in the region.

But it seems also, that they do not want to be the ones to dirten their hands with this dirty endeavour, given the fragile yet much needed diplomatic relationship between them and kingdom of the Saudis.

Therefore, Iran has cunningly deployed its armed proxies in Yemen and Iraq to provoke Saudi Arabia and drag it into the wild party.

Subsequently, Iran backed groups in Iraq attempted to attack Saudi Arabia's oil facilities with drones which as per Iran's calculation, made the Saudis lose their patience.

In the 2Oth night of July, Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the U.S, launched heavy strikes on Iraq's territory, targeting military infrastructure used by the "Popular Mobilization Forces" groups in Iraq, killing dozens of them and wounding several others. Moreso, a great deal of their military facilities were destroyed.

The groups are now threatening revenge against Saudi Arabia. More groups like Harakat Hezbollah Al Nujaba are also vowing to join in the "Holy war" against Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the Houthis are becoming more provocative by the day.

According to the Guardian Newspaper, Saudi Arabia is preparing a major offensive on the Houthi  rebels.

It looks like Iran now has Saudi Arabia where it wants them to be! It looks like there's no turning back for the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia is now part and parcel of the raging conflict in the region.

The Iranains seem to be achieving their goal: to turn this ongoing war against it a regional, if not a global war!
