U.S-Israel war against Iran: How much longer can the United States clutch onto its aircraft carriers and economic prowess?
The U.S-Israel war against Iran has left the long time perception that the United States is the undisputed global military Superpower badly shattered.
For a long time, U.S supremacy has been grounded on its monopoly over violence and destruction in addition to the Americans' reliance on their European allies for every aggressive mission it undertakes.
For whatever reason however, this time round the U.S traditional allies i.e France, Germany and Britain held back from joining the U.S in its latest military mission in the Middle East.
This has left the U.S completely stripped, alone and the reality of its real military standing exposed.
The limits of the Americans' military prowess to help them achieve their goals has also been tested.
The war which has gone on for six months so far, has had the U.S occassionally changing military strategies for the same war, in such a short period!
The U.S has also had to dramatically change misions of the war in this brief period that it has lasted so far.
Before launching its military campagin, the U.S's primary mission was to decimate Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile program, only for the world to witness the brutal assassination of Iran's top leadership on the very first day of the U.S-Israel military camapaign.
This is when the two aggressors openly declared that they were not here just for missile and nuclear decimation, they were here for regime change too!
It is no longer news that the U.S and Israel's primary missions miserably failed, only for the world to find itself in the midst of a war for the battle of the control of the strait of Hormus!
The U.S is miserably failing with this too!
As a cover for its failures, the U.S is now lashing out about how it's going to subject Iran to unprecedented economic isolation and how it intends to indefinitely impose a naval blockade on Iran's ports.
With all its injured ego and crumbling glory, after Iran has destroyed a great deal of its military assets in the Middle East, the last seemingly effective military assets of the U.S are its aircraft carriers.
The United States is clutching on these large sea vessels like a drowning person fighting for their life.
The question is: how much longer until the U.S loses its grip and completely comes crushing down deep in the pit that it has dug for itself?
With the all the confidence that their duel with the U.S has given them, will the Iranians just look on and let the U.S cripple their sea trade?
What if the Iranians choose to militarily break this blockade, are the Americans sure that they will win the water duel even when they have had multiple failures in the course of the same war?
While U.S defense Secretary Pete Hegseth brags about the U.S's ability to indifinitely maintain and rotate these vessels at sea, word on ground indicates that the reality of the situation is quite different.
Reports from numerous sources are coming in that the sailors on these big vessels have very low motivation, are poorly facilitated and are suffering from mental health issues, having spent 250 consecutive days at sea! There are even reports of attempted suicides amongst these gallant American soldiers. [1]
Iran also has the ability to disrupt trade all around the Middle East by using its proxies to disrupt trade in other strategic water ways, other than the strait of Hormus.
A case in point is the Babel Mandeb in the Red sea, which has been an alternative especially for the biggest global oil exporter, Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis already declared a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia in the Babel Mandeb which has pushed Saudi Arabia into using the much longer route of the Suez canal.
Word is currently going around that the Gulf states, which have for long viewed the United States as a knight in shining armor for the protection of their wealthy territories, are reportedly beginning to get fed up with the U.S failure to resolve its conflict with Iran. [2]
The longer the war drags on, the harder the situation becomes for these Arab states.
This is because, in addition to the closure of the important strait of Hormus, Iran has deployed its Yemeni proxies to disrupt shipping in the Red sea too!
This is putting the United States in a situation where it now appears as if it does not care about the ripple negative effects of its blind pursuit of the decimation of Iran's economy.
We are keeping our fingers crossed. But it smells like another war is brewing: the military battle for the control of Hormus and most likely the one that will completely bring the U.S hegemony to an end.
