THE TRUE PROMISE
Iran calls its military campaigns "True Promise" (Va'de-ye Sadeq) to reflect the ideological foundations of the Islamic Republic, symbolizing Tehran's religious and political commitment to retaliate against perceived aggressions.
The name serves as a vow that Iran will consistently and unhesitatingly fulfill its stated threats to punish enemies, most notably Israel and the United States. [1, 2]
The first operation under this name took place in April 2024, when Iran launched a massive barrage of drones and ballistic missiles against Israeli territory in direct retaliation for the assasssination of senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders in Syria.
Since then, the naming convention has evolved into a series—such as Operation True Promise II, III, and IV—to signal an ongoing cycle of direct deterrence and retaliatory in the strikes against U.S. and Israeli targets across the Middle East.
But then, there is also another promise in the Holy Qur'an 17:4 where Allah assures us that there is surely another great punishment for the Zionists' impunity and all the crimes that they have comitted against humanity.
Qur'an 17:4-8 States that:
4: And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture: Ye verily will work corruption in the earth twice, and ye will become great tyrants.
5: So when the time for the first of the two came, We roused against you slaves of Ours of great might who ravaged (your) country, and it was a threat performed.6: Then we gave you once again your turn against them, and We aided you with wealth and children and made you more in soldiery.7: (Saying): If ye do good, ye do good for your own souls, and if ye do evil, it is for them (in like manner). So, when the time for the second (of the judgments) came (We roused against you others of Our slaves) to ravage you, and to enter the Temple even as they entered it the first time, and to lay waste all that they conquered with an utter wasting.8: It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, but it ye repeat (the crime) We shall repeat (the punishment), and We have appointed hell a dungeon for the disbelievers.
Explanation of the above verses
Verse 4: Allah declares in the Scripture that the Children of Israel would spread mischief and corruption on the earth twice, and that they would grow exceedingly arrogant and tyrannical. [1, 2]
Verse 5: When the time for the first period of corruption arrived, Allah sent formidable servants to punish them. They invaded and ransacked the land, fulfilling the divine warning. This verse refers to the first exile of the Jews after they were attacked by Emperor Nebuchadnezzar and their land occupied by the Babylonians.
Verse 6: After a period of time, Allah granted the Israelites a return of power over their enemies. He blessed them with wealth, descendants, and greater manpower.
Verse 7: Allah reminds them that righteous actions benefit the doer, while evil harms the soul.
When the second period of corruption arrived, enemies were sent to disgrace them, enter the Temple (in Jerusalem) as they had the first time, and completely destroyed what they had conquered. This refers to the Jewish long stay in exile after the Roman empire conquered their land.
But then, once again Allah promises to restore them in their land and restore their might, a promise He fulfilled in 1948 after over 1,500 years of them wandering in Europe.
Appalling as the event was, the Jewish return to what was known as Palestine was a True Promise of Allah which had to be fulfilled no matter how long it took.
However, in Qur'an 17:4, Allah warns us that the Jews were not returning to settle as normal occupants of the land. He warns us that they will be "great tyrants". Thus:
"And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture: Ye verily will work corruption in the earth twice, and ye will become great tyrants."
Nowadays, we are witnessing the widespread violation by Israel and its plot for the conquest of the lands from the Nile to the Euphrates as well as the expulsion of the Arabs from their homeland, the bringing of espionage networks into existence in the world, taking over of the propaganda machinery, assembling of manpower from the east and the west, and other measures which are conducive to corruption.
But then Allah never lies. However long it will or might take, the Israelis will have to pay for the genocide they are committing all around the middle East and the desecration of sacred places like Masjid Alqsa, other mosques and churches.
Qur'an 17:8 states that: It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, but it ye repeat (the crime) We shall repeat (the punishment), and We have appointed hell a dungeon for the disbelievers.
This is a True Promise from Allah and Allah never lies.
