The U.S-Israel war against Iran has left the long time perception that the United States is the undisputed global military Superpower badly shattered. For a long time, U.S supremacy has been grounded on its monopoly over violence and destruction in addition to the Americans' reliance on their  European allies for every aggressive mission it undertakes.  For whatever reason however, this time round the U.S traditional allies i.e France, Germany and Britain held back from joining the U.S in its latest military mission in the Middle East. This has left the U.S completely stripped, alone and the reality of its real military standing exposed.  The limits of the Americans' military prowess to help them achieve their goals has also been tested.  The war which has gone on for six months so far, has had the U.S occassionally changing military strategies for the same war, in such a short period!  The U.S has also had to dramatically change misions of the war in this brie...

Sometimes it is better to find an honorable exit out of a failed situation than to keep trying to prove that the situation isn't as bad as it seems. However, the United States of America seems not to be aware of this fact.  Having miserably failed with its latest military assault on Iran, The U.S, instead of swallowing a humble pie and seeking an honorable exit out of the situation, has gone completely gone berzerk.  With their Operation Epic Fury , The U.S and its closest ally Israel believed that with their combined effort, the Islamic Republic of Iran would finally come down and get subdued into accepting the Israel-US hegemony. Saudi Arabia is a very wealthy country, rooted in an estimated $1.389 trillion nominal GDP, anchored primarily by massive petroleum reserves. The country also has a very rich tourism sector that draws over 120 million visitors annually.  This is supported by the country's la ndmark sustainable luxury developments like Diriyah and the Red Sea unique natural and heritage sites. While most analysts believe that the Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan pact is indeed here to replace the waning United States influence in the Middle East, I firmly stand to differ from this general opinion even if it means standing alone! Using a binoculars, one can clearly see a green snake gliding around in the green grass of this so called security pact.  The green snake is the United States of America! It is simple as it is: Saudi Arabia has so much to lose in the event that it is engaged in war with any of its adversaries. For its own good, the wealthy kingdom should not participate in the "monkey-dance." The thing is that we all know that Mojtabah Khamenei is the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's son and his successor. I don't know whether "expiry on subscription" is the international data pricing policy save  for special data bundles like Freedom bundles for MTN and Chillax bundles for Airtel users in Uganda.  I personally find this policy very unfairly costly on the side of the consumer and I believe lots of other people would agree with me if they were given a chance to speak up. I stand to be guided on this matter but it really baffles me why it has to be this way!  I believe data bundles are no different from airtime recharge. Same thing, different purposes! As our country Uganda gears up for the next round of LC1 chairperson elections on the 28th of June 2026, the nationals are obviously excited after spending a long time without voting for these leaders who are the main representatives of  the common man in our system of governance. However, it is sadly becoming a norm that the voting system for these most important leaders is the open ballot system where voters have to line behind the candidate of their choice. I am calling it sad because of the vast number of disadvantages of this voting method. An open ballot is a system of voting where the choice of the voter is known to others, rather than being kept secret.  While it is obviously cost friendly, it carries several significant disadvantages in modern democratic contexts.
